Sicily, with its warm climate, hills, sea breezes and sunshine, has all the right ingredients for good wine. According to legend it was introduced to the island by Dionysius, and has made the island famous around the world. Wines include Nero D’Avola, one of the oldest red-grape varieties on the island, Bianco ’Alcamo, a popular white, dessert wines Moscato and Passito di Pantelleria, and Marsala, a fortified wine first produced in 1773 by Englishman John Woodhouse. Guests can learn more about these delicious wines with a wine tasting lesson at our Torre Bar.
