At Verdura Golf & Spa Resort we have created a culinary experience as unique as the island. With four different restaurants and four bars, plus private dining options, guests can choose the perfect venue to suit every occasion.
Food lies at at the heart of Sicily. Famously fragrant and aromatic, its cuisine is flavoured with saffron, herbs, olives and lemons, and an abundance of fresh ingredients such as honey, almonds and tomatoes plucked from the vine. This rich culinary heritage is celebrated at Verdura, from a family seafood barbecue at the beachside Amare restaurant to a romantic, clifftop dinner at Liolá, watching the sun disappear into the ocean.
Our Executive Chef, Salvatore Barbara, has worked in some of the world’s top restaurants and is renowned for his imaginative approach to Mediterranean cuisine. At the resort’s La Zagara restaurant, he has created an à la carte menu of authentic Sicilian specialities, and elsewhere guests can feast on freshly baked pizzas, healthy snacks and favourite dishes from around the world. The resort has an extensive wine cellar stocked with many regional wines from around Italy and the world. At La Gelateria, guests can choose their favourite ice cream and sorbet flavours.
Children also have their tastes catered for. In each restaurant a specially created menu features freshly made favourites that can be served at the table or brought to your room. In the evening, Buon Giorno restaurant caters exclusively for our junior guests. Dishes can be ordered in advance – so there is no impatient waiting at the table – and are served from late afternoon.
If you want to chill out over a freshly mixed drink, the Verdura’s five bars – set in different locations around the resort – provide a relaxing and stylish environment throughout the day and evening. Guests can take tea and biscuits at La Granita, a drink or two at the Pool Bar, and try a vitamin-packed fruit cocktail in the Spa Bar. After dinner, the Torre Bar hosts nightly performances by local musicians.
For private dining guests can order from an extensive room service menu, and the resort offers a unique Romantic Dining Experience, which will set up a table, white linen and candles at your chosen spot in the resort, whether in the gardens or on the beach.
