Kyle Phillips is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and has more than 25 years of world-class golf course design experience in locations such as the Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Europe, North America and South America. His design work has taken him to more than 20 countries, on behalf of over 60 clients, where he has earned a reputation for developing creative design solutions to a variety of environmental and planning issues.
During his nearly 25 years of designing courses in Europe, Kyle has studied and been influenced in his designs by the landforms and strategic qualities of the great links and heathland courses. These courses continue today to define the standard for the best in golf course architecture.
Each golf course designed by Kyle Phillips is unique. This stems from his belief that golf courses should have their own character and personality derived from the site’s existing natural features, as well as its location and history. Where natural golf features do not exist, Kyle has shown an unparalleled ability to create natural appearing landforms for traditional world-class golf experiences.
“The pleasure of working closely with Sir Rocco on masterminding the creation of 45 holes of golf on a timeless site with a stunning coastline enhanced by the mountain backdrop has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career,” he enthused.
