DIET, FOOD AND SUPPLEMENTS FAQ

  1. What is the food like? Will I be hungry? Is it a restrictive diet?
    We want you to enjoy your meals whilst participating in the programme. Our chef and nutritionist have collaborated to create delicious, seasonal and balanced menus to make you feel full and help you achieve the objectives of your program. We have removed wheat, dairy, salt, sugar, alcohol, caffeine and red meat from the menus.

  2. What about my need for protein?  
    Our chef and nutritionist have designed the menus to ensure that your body receives all of the right amounts of each food group at every meal.

  3. Is the diet vegetarian or vegan?
    Not unless you wish it to be. The Vita Health menus feature fresh seasonal ingredients and include eggs, poultry and seafood. Please advise us at the time of booking your program if you are a vegetarian or a vegan.

  4. Do you cater for all dietary requirements?
    Yes. If you have any special dietary requests, please advise us when booking your Vita Health programme.

  5. Is the Verdura diet nutritionally complete?
    Our nutritionist has created all of the menus to ensure that maximum nutrients are provided in all meals.

  6. Can food be healthy and delicious at the same time?
    Absolutely. Our chef and nutritionist are passionate about creating delicious and nutritious meals, and have work closely together to create an exceptional menu that is appetising and healthy.

  7. What happens if my partner and I do not wish to have a special diet?
    We strongly encourage that the Vita Health menus are followed in order to get the full benefit of the programmes. Many clients usually notice substantial improvements in their symptoms after following an improved diet.

  8. Can vitamins and supplements have side effects?
    If they are used inappropriately, yes, but when the right nutrients are used in the right doses, side effects are rare. At your initial consultation, our doctor will advise you on what is right for you to take during your stay.
