Amelia Freer FdSc, Dip ION, mBANT
Nutrition Consultant at Vita Health
"Our relationship with food is often multi-faceted. Most of us eat food with only pleasure in mind. While our need for it is primal, our relationship with it is complex and ever-changing."
Amelia qualified from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, London, in 2007, and as a nutritional therapist brings her expertise to Vita Health after a career that has so far spanned over 40 health retreats.
Says Amelia: "l am a real foodie and absolutely encourage the enjoyment of food! My guidance is realistic, practical and achievable, always with the goal of improved health and wellbeing."
A member of the British Association of Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), Amelia is registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. More recently, she graduated from the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice course, having completed the rigorous training provided by The Institute of Functional Medicine. "The more clients l see, the more I realise how few people actually connect how they feel with what they eat. l hope to inspire guests to take a bit more control over what and how they eat for the long-term benefit of their health."
